Why Oil-circulation Lubrication?
Industrial facilities include many process-critical machines and equipment such as fans, pumps, gearboxes, motors, compressors, and pressurized washers that require reliable lubrication with oil. Oil-circulation lubrication systems are often used in applications where it is essential to continuously supply an adequate amount of clean oil at the right temperature to the bearings not only to lubricate but also to cool down the bearing. This is done so it operates at the optimal operating temperature that results in increased bearing life. This process cannot be done with grease lubrication systems.
The Oil Circulation Advantage
Engineered oil circulation lubrication units are configurated to be turnkey solutions to minimize installation and startup time. Custom units typically include robust components such as gear or gerotor pumps, filters and flowmeters that are preselected for your application to provide quality lubrication. The flow rate for each lube point on your equipment is controlled and monitored by a calibrated flowmeter. Custom oil circulation units can also be equipped with water/oil or air/oil heat exchangers to provide an improved oil temperature control. Oil pressure and temperature transducers, oil metal particle sensor and water content sensors are some examples of instrumentation that can be included to provide more information about the lubricant and oil circulation system operating parameters. Safety Critical oil circulation systems are also popular consisting of back-up pumps and filters mounted directly on the lid of the reservoir to increase reliability.
